We naturally want to find the way forward when we feel stuck in life. Often when we find ourselves in such situations, there may not be a clear way forward. Sometimes, there is no way forward (at the time). But there is always a lateral move. You may not like the lateral move, but one is always there.
The lateral move itself is not the way forward, however, it utilizes time, distance and space, which opens up possibilities for the way forward. Possibilities that were not available prior, or often possibilities you did not see at the time.
Dr. Stephen Strange: Dormammu! I’ve come to bargain.

Dr. Stephen Strange: Actually, I can. This is how things are now: you and me, trapped in this moment, endlessly.

Dr. Stephen Strange: No…But I can lose…again, and again, and again, and again, forever.
Dr. Stephen Strange: And that makes you my prisoner.
